Amarre project is a technological solution to facilitate the process of stowage of the merchandise according to the UNE EN 12195 Standard. The complex physical processes and their mathematical and physical formulas to be implemented, as well as the variables to take into account, come to us given in the software, so UNESIDs users simply enter the data of their respective merchandise, either manually, or from the data offered from the company management software; The project has been carried out thinking precisely about the integration with other existing computer systems, offering integrated solutions, as is the case at hand.

Amarre project offers a solution that can be integrated with the management system of the UNESID company, which will make it very easy to automate the loading and stowage processes in the company. "Amarre" offers effectiveness and efficiency in the application of complex processes that are difficult to interpret and that require training. In addition to offering the most efficient stowage solution, it offers a final report that will offer a guarantee to the carrier and loader on the process followed, a report that can also be used as an information element throughout the logistics chain and for the security and inspection bodies.

What the software does is work with all the data offered on the expedition, taking into account number of packages, measures, volumes, weights and type of materials, among others. The solution establishes whether this distribution meets the weights differentiated by axes, allowing the necessary adjustments to comply with the regulations. Once the load is distributed, the type of mooring is chosen (by friction, inclined, direct diagonal, direct loop or direct spring); Information is also provided on whether the vehicle is going to travel by road, train or sea or a combination of them, with the aim of assessing the forces to which the cargo will be subjected.

Elements such as fastening equipment to be used (tape, chain or cable), the use of non-slip material, locks and complementary moorings are introduced, which can vary considerably the number of necessary ties or the tension force to apply.

The application takes into account all these variables, together with the characteristics of the vehicle, bodywork, friction, packaging, volumes and type of merchandise among others, performing the necessary physical calculations.

1. LOADING PACKAGES AT EACH EXPEDITION

The information associated with each of the packages will be sent either from SAP, or from the SGA, based on the standard format and method of Mooring. The information will contain:

  • Bulk identification (SSCC or unique identifer)
  • Type of package
  • DEnomination
  • Weight
  • Dimensions
  • Expedition or grouping to which it is associated
  • Order to which it belongs

2. DEFINITION OF TRANSPORT UNITS

The definition of transport units (vehicles or containers) will be carried out in Mooring, manually with the support of those that are already predefined.

3. DEFINITION OF OPTIMIZATION CRITERIA

The criteria for optimizing the placement of packages in transport units will be defined in Mooring. The following criteria will be included:

  • Maximum weights supported
  • Bulk Orientation
  • Stacking matrix in funtion of the type of package

4. LOAD OPTIMIZATION

Once the load has been validated for optimization, the automatic optimization process will be executed, obtaining the following information:

  • Placing the load on the u. of transport
  • Report with the load plan

The placement of the load can be modified from Amarre application if necessary for any circumstance.

5. DEFINITION OF STYLE AND LOOP CRITERIA

The criteria to be applied in the stowage and mooring process will be defined in Mooring. The following criteria will be included:

  • Type of transport (maritime, land, air or combined)
  • Maritime zone through which you will be traveling, in case there are several the most restrcitive
  • Elements and Amarre to use
  • Elements of improvement and optimization of the stowage and morring that incorporates the transport unit.

6. AMARRE ACCORDING TO RD 563/2017

Once the load for its stowage and mooring is validated, the stowage and mooring process will be automatically executed, obtaining the following information:

  • Placement of the Amarre elements
  • Report with the stowage and Amarre plan

The result of the mooring process can be modified from the application Mooring in case it is necessary for some circumstance, incorporating new elements of improvement for the mooring (corners, non-slip floor, etc.).

7. ISSUANCE OF LOAD OPTIMIZATION REPORT

The load optimization report shows in detail the process to be followed for the placement of the packages, including the data loaded from the SAP or the SGA (SSCC, shipping, etc.)

8. ISSUANCE OF ESTIBA AND AMARRE REPORT

The mooring optimization report shows the following data:

  • The placement of the Amarre in the unit of transport
  • The defined criteria for stowage and Amarre
  • The general data of the destination
  • The general data of the unit of transport
  • The features of the Amarre deivces and its function are shown and can be applied

Two copies of this report will be printed, in order to be signed by both the person responsible for the cargo and the carrier. One of the copies will be delivered to the carrier to be used as a document that indicates the detail of the stowage and tied before the bodies responsible for ensuring compliance with RD 563/2017.
